‘That’s All You Got’ is the latest release from Night Beats and a collaboration between founding member Danny Lee Blackwell and Robert Levon Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
With a bunch of new material in the works, ‘That’s All You Got’ is Night Beats’ first outing since they recently announced their signing to London-based label Fuzz Club. A slice of soulful, psychedelic R&B, the ‘That’s All You Got’ 7” is due for release December 4th and includes the B-side ‘Never Look Back’, which also features BRMC’s Levon Been.
Talking about the single, Danny Lee says: “Times like these make it seem like the world is tryna keep you down. We'll always have corrupt politicians and two-faced crooks trying to control our minds, but there are two things that are also eternal in this world: Rhythm and Blues. 'That’s All You Got' is a reminder that at the end of the day, we’ll always have the SOUL.”

Stripped down and very engaging. We listening on loop during a 5-hour road trip. The whole album is strong. "Been Struggling" "American Conquest" and "Shines like the Sun" are my personal favorites. Have only gotten into Black Angels after becoming mildly obsessed with "Been Struggling" on the radio, and its faux vintage sound; and finding this new classic. quailman

The K.G.L.W. duology-super-album... thing... is one of King Gizzard & Friends' most ear grabbing records. Both albums are SPICY AF, being stuffed with snazzy melodies, catchy instrumentals, and actually really cynical lyrics. The tracks snag your attention, and they keep a darn tight grip. It’s nothing but ear worms from start to finish; sick stuff. Toaster Strooder
